Once upon a time, a long long time ago, there was a twelve year old girl named Autumn who felt it in her blood to put words to paper. Her stories were short and not very good back then but she felt it was what she was created to do.
Many years passed and many life changes often paused her writing opportunities but that call-- no matter how often it was delayed-- always kept speaking to her heart on the wind. When she was young she started her family and had a husband and two children and her plate was happily full. She would eventually find time to write, sometimes able to snatch little wisps of time here and there.
The journey of her family led them to homeschooling when her kids were still quite young and she happily took on the hat of teacher along with her multiple other stay at home duties. In 2009 her family received horrible news that her husband had cancer. After a short battle of six months, he passed away in 2010, just months short of his 30th birthday. Autumn was widowed at the age of 32. Their two young children were only 6 and 8. Their lives were drastically changed forever.
Nearly two years later and quite unexpectedly, Autumn ended up meeting her second husband. To her surprise, God instantly let her know that he was the one. A few happy whirlwind months later and they were wed. She also welcomed a new stepson (although she doesn’t call him step because they are all just family). A few years later and they were welcoming baby number four who would turn their entire household upside down in the best of ways.
This is my life. And this is the pen that writes the window into my mind.
My name is Autumn Semones. I am a stay-at-home mom to three teenagers and a toddler. The Band Geek, The Comedian, The Emo Chick, and Lil Boss Man. I’m also a Christian, an author, a freelance writer, and a blogger. Life is always a chaotic whirlwind that keeps me on my toes. I am married to my super hero husband and fellow author Stephen J. Semones.
My hobbies (ha...what are these hobbies you speak of?! Do I have time for such things?) include gardening, canning and food preserving, reading, and creating art whenever I have time. I love all things geek and horror, especially being a child of the 80s.
I hope you enjoy a peek into my life and I hope that my thoughts can inspire you, or maybe at least amuse you for a little while.
